Youth Health in Our Community
February 28, 2024
By Invitation Only
The results from the 2023 BC Adolescent Health Survey (AHS) are in.
Our youth have something to say … and on February 28, 2024, youth and senior leaders from the Sooke School District, together with Annie Smith (Executive Director, McCreary Centre Society), Dr. Murray Fyfe, Medical Health Officer, Island Health, and other community leaders committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of young people across the Sooke-West Shore region, will be coming together for an important briefing on the state of Youth Health in Our Community.
During the 22/23 school year, a representative sample of Grade 7-12 students in the Sooke School District (SD62) participated in the BC Adolescent Health Survey (AHS), a province wide survey administered in 59 school districts across BC and led by McCreary Centre Society – a world leader in youth-related research and engagement.
