Many Village Initiative network organizations have expressed interest in having staff trained in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention™ to help support staff in defusing difficult situations. With the support of United Way, our network has invested in TVI affiliated NVCI Trainers and are pleased to offer several training sessions in the coming months (available training dates – February to October – may be found in Section 6 of the Application for Registration form).
If you are interested in having staff trained from your organization (and it’s a member of the TVI network), please complete and return the Application for Registration form to Nicola MacKay.

Child & Youth Mental Health Conference

Responding to the changing mental health and well-being needs of children and youth across the West Shore and Sooke Region, this conference is hosted by The Village and was designed with input from over 100 professionals serving the child and youth mental health needs of our community.
For Senior Community Leaders
November 20 (half-day; includes lunch)

This half-day for senior decision-makers will focus on collaborative planning to support partnerships, leadership training & development, community engagement and workplace well-being.
For Frontline Community Workers
November 21 (full-day; includes lunch)
Spencer Middle School

This full-day for frontline service providers will address emerging issues and support the practice and well-being of the region’s frontline staff.
